For investors

Invest in the
access layer.

Africa does not have an insurance-product problem or a healthcare-provider problem. It has a distribution problem. MobiCova Technologies is building the rails that connect licensed insurers, HMOs and healthcare providers to the people traditional channels never reach — starting in Nigeria.

The problem

The demand is real.
The licences exist.
The rail is missing.

Nigeria has licensed insurers, HMOs, hospitals and pharmacies with products people would buy if buying were simple. What is missing is the last mile: channels that work on the phones people own, in the way they transact, with the trust that comes from being met where they are.

Only about 5% of Nigerians have insurance, while fewer than 22 million have health insurance. The rest pay for care out of pocket, at the moment they can least afford it.

What we have built

Two live platforms.
One set of rails.

Shared infrastructure for onboarding, support, channel access and partner integrations.

01Insurance

MobiCova

An AI-powered micro-insurance marketplace for individuals. Licensed insurers provide the cover; MobiCova is the distribution layer, never the risk carrier.

  • Health, motor, travel, device, home and funeral cover
  • Web, WhatsApp and USSD access
  • Licensed insurer holds premiums and pays claims
02Health

MobiCovaHealth

B2B health infrastructure for insurers, HMOs and employers, bringing care closer through the channels members already use.

  • Eligibility, telemedicine and prescriptions
  • WhatsApp, USSD, web and mobile access
  • Wellness analytics for partners
Why now

The market is
turning our way.

01

Regulation

Nigeria’s insurance reforms recognise technology partners that distribute for licensed insurers.

02

Channels

USSD, WhatsApp, mobile money and agent networks already reach the mass market.

03

Health financing

Health-insurance reform is expanding the pool of members who need a practical way to access care.

Business model

We earn when
our partners do.

Revenue comes from distribution fees on policies sold through our rails, platform fees from insurers, HMOs and employers using MobiCovaHealth, and integration fees for partners connecting through our APIs.

We do not underwrite, hold premiums or pay claims. Those responsibilities remain with licensed carriers.

Team

The round

We are raising our
pre-seed round.

To convert partner pilots into signed distribution agreements and paying members at scale.

Funds will support Nigeria leadership hiring, production-grade infrastructure, partnership conversion, and regulatory, legal and data-protection foundations for Nigeria and Ghana.
